This is 4 year old Savior, one of 26 children living at the Ziribanda Children's Ministry, a fledgling orphanage in Uganda, started by Isa Burkenya, a caring young man in the village who tried to get help from the government for the many abandoned children he saw living in the streets, but found none.

So, Isa now grows corn on borrowed land to help feed the children and sells the rest to pay the rent on a basic hut that provides minimal shelter for the children. They sleep on old pieces of foam mattresses instead of in the streets, but they have the caring support, love and guidance from Isa. However, some days, these children have no food, and in order to get water for basic needs, they must walk a mile to carry it back from an open pond.

This website is here to tell the story of Ziribanda and to find others who will help Isa in his efforts to provide safe, supportive shelter, nutritious food for these children, as well as medicine, and school fees.
